This policy covers Solitaire Classic for iPhone and iPad (it appears on your Home Screen as “Solitaire”), published by Winkpass Creations, Inc. (“Winkpass”, “we”, “us”). There’s no account, no sign-up and no login. The game is free and paid for by ads. Coin packs and an optional Premium subscription are sold through Apple.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played across all players, such as games started and won, coins earned and purchases made. It also collects basic device information like model, iOS version, language and approximate region. We look at this as totals and trends, to fix problems and keep the game balanced.

Notifications. We occasionally send announcements, such as new features. iOS only shows them if you allow notifications. Delivery uses Apple’s and Google’s notification services and a notification token tied to a random ID the app creates, not to your name.

A quiet game, just you and the deck. No one is looking over your shoulder.

Most of what Solitaire knows lives on your device, in the app’s own storage, and is never sent to us:

This information is included in your device backups but is never uploaded to Winkpass. Deleting the app deletes all of it, which also means we can’t restore coins or statistics for you.

Ads keep Solitaire free. Without Premium, you may see an ad when the app opens and between games. Anyone, Premium or not, can choose to watch a rewarded video for coins, hints or an undo. Premium removes the app-open and between-game ads. Rewarded videos are always your choice.

To choose, show and measure ads, the app includes software from the companies below. They may collect information from your device directly and use it under their own privacy policies.

What the sponsors may collect

Tracking only if you allow it

When you first play, Solitaire may show Google’s consent message, if your region requires one. After that, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt asks whether ad partners may use your device’s advertising identifier to personalize and measure ads across other companies’ apps and websites. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the advertising identifier isn’t shared. You’ll still see ads, but they’ll be based on context and limited signals instead of your activity elsewhere.

Winkpass gets reports from Google, such as how many ads were shown and how much they earned. We can’t see who you are. We don’t sell personal information for money. However, under some US state laws, letting ad partners use identifiers for personalized ads may count as “sharing” or a “sale”. You can opt out by declining tracking, as explained under the joker.

You can buy coin packs, or subscribe to Premium monthly or yearly. Premium removes the app-open and between-game ads and gives you a daily coin gift. Apple handles every payment. We never see your card, your billing address or your Apple Account. The app receives only the transaction information Apple provides to confirm what you bought, and uses it to add coins or turn on Premium.

Our analytics records which coin packs are bought, which helps us price coins fairly. To manage or cancel Premium, go to Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, or use Manage Subscription in the app. Apple’s Privacy Policy covers purchases.

If you’re signed in to Game Center, Solitaire sends your scores and achievements to Apple, where they appear on leaderboards under your Game Center nickname. Game Center is Apple’s service and is optional. You can sign out in Settings › Game Center and keep playing as normal. Winkpass doesn’t receive your Game Center profile. Apple’s privacy policy covers Game Center data.

The Other Apps screen links to our other apps and products, which open on the App Store or on their own websites. The links to this policy and the Terms of Use open in your browser. None of these links send any information about you.

The wild card. Use it however you like.

1. Decline or revoke tracking. Use Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, or turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track” for every app.
2. Change your ad consent. If your region shows Google’s consent message, you can see it again by deleting and reinstalling Solitaire. You can also write to us and we’ll help.
3. Limit ad personalization. Use Settings › Privacy & Security › Apple Advertising and Google My Ad Center.
4. Turn off notifications. Use Settings › Notifications › Solitaire.
5. Skip the leaderboard. Sign out of Game Center and play on.
6. Go Premium. This removes app-open and between-game ads. Analytics and notifications work the same either way.
7. Fold. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device.

Children

Solitaire is a general-audience game. It isn’t directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age where you live), and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child’s information was collected through our ad or analytics partners, contact us and we’ll help get it removed.

Retention

Game data stays on your device until you delete the app. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics settings and then deleted. Notification tokens are kept while they may still reach an install, and we’ll delete them if you ask. Ad partners keep data according to their own policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including the EEA, the UK and US states such as California, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information. You may also be able to object to or restrict some processing, and to opt out of targeted advertising, “sharing” or “sale”. Since Solitaire has no accounts, the quickest route is usually the choices above. You can still write to us any time, and we’ll help. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.

In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, ad partners rely on your consent, given through Google’s consent message, to store information on your device and personalize ads. Analytics, fraud prevention and notification delivery rely on our legitimate interest in running, improving and funding the game. Purchases are processed to fulfil our contract with you. Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we and our partners operate, under the safeguards described in their policies.

Security

Data sent by the app travels over encrypted connections to Google’s and our partners’ servers. Access to the data we receive is limited to Winkpass. The best protection is collecting little in the first place, which is why your games, stats and coins never leave your device.

Legal requests

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or if we believe in good faith that it’s necessary to prevent harm. If Winkpass or this app is ever sold or merged, this policy will continue to apply to information collected under it.

Changes to this policy

If Solitaire changes in ways that affect your privacy, we’ll update this page and its effective date. We’ll mention significant changes in the app’s release notes. This policy replaces all earlier Solitaire privacy policies.
