- We use Google Analytics 4 (through our Firebase project) to count visits and see which parts of the site people use.
- No advertising cookies, no ad personalization, no Google signals, and we never sell or share your personal information.
- We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. If your browser sends either, analytics never load.
- The Wink Lab camera demo runs entirely in your browser. Video is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere.
This notice explains how Winkpass Creations, Inc. (“Winkpass”, “we”) handles information when you visit winkpass.com. Each of our apps has its own privacy policy, and you can find all of them on our legal page.

We do not ask for your name, email address or any account on this website. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
Cookies
When analytics are enabled, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_M8ED25PC86 to tell visits apart. They expire after up to two years. We do not use advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland get no analytics cookies unless they choose “Sounds good”. Until then, only cookieless, aggregated measurement is used.
Your choices

- Browser signals: If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we treat it as an opt-out and analytics are never loaded.
- Other tools: You can delete cookies in your browser settings or install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
The Wink Lab
The “Mirror, meet SnapSCII” demo asks your browser for camera access only after you press “Open the mirror.” The video is shown and turned into ASCII art on your device, then discarded. It is never recorded, stored or transmitted, and the camera turns off when you close the demo or leave the page. The “Lights out” and “Daily Wink” features send nothing but the anonymous usage events described above.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law. Google processes analytics and hosting data on our behalf as a service provider under its data processing terms. Links to the App Store, Google Play, knotguide.app and wordspawn.com take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
Retention
Event-level analytics data is kept for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically. Aggregated reports, which contain no personal information, may be kept longer. Hosting logs are kept according to Google Cloud’s standard retention.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the EEA, the UK and US states such as California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent at any time. Where we rely on consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland analytics), withdrawing it does not affect earlier processing. To make a request, email privacy@winkpass.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
